Heirloom, natives and bulbs welcome as we meet outside of the Art Barn here at Art Farm Fennville. Date TBA is rain or shine. Weather goes sideways we’ll host inside and know that masks and social distancing will be our theme. Please note that we will be limited to five people at a time if indoors. The Art Farm went feral this summer without weekly mowing. The Milkweed planted the last three seasons offering a Butterfly Summer Camp. Muslin as tall as the sunflowers and patches of St. Johns Wort bright as a patchwork quilt of native wildcrafted herbs and seasonal summer medicinals Boneset, Fennel, Bee Balm, Red Clover and Calendula. It’s our first year to enjoy the non-mown gardens not lawns premise ala Permaculture influenced embrace of Natives that will offer foragers a place to pick and collect. We’ll water the weeds and enjoy the daily garden harvests and roasted Artisan Coffee Beans until we might offer community centric events again. The season of flower and pollinator has been really something to experience here in #fabulousfennville. The Art Coast has a creative mix of great Art on Display Program (Thank you Detroit Institute of Arts) in downtown Douglas, don’t miss The Button Gallery Garden with sculpture by great metal artists here in our creative community. August Farm Stand staples: tomatoes, cucumbers, purple beans, sunflowers. Look for an announcement for when you can swing by or ping us on insta @artfarmfennville August 2020 we’ll roast Chiapas Mexico Women’s Co-op/Agro Bean and may be able to offer a tasting workshop at the end of next month, stay tuned.
