Picking up a paint brush, a screw drill, a muffin tin. Beading a thread thru a needle, knitting a scarf or simply sitting down to the still life that is nature can all be creative endeavors.
I can’t describe a better scene: music after school with an accordion bellows honking out notes that may or may not thematically improve as time and tempo give way to unexplored neural networks of a certain high school student playing in a group setting.
Sock puppets yet to be liberated because the buttons and thread have yet to be adorned and fashioned into something much more. A story unfolds when we unhinge from the norms. Putting an effort forth for free wheeling creative thought is a muscle that needs developing, strength training for our core should include this as mandatory manna from heaven as the lost art of creativeness slides to a dark corner if we let it.
My offering? Create an environment for those seeking an outlet can and will be rewarded with a sense of satisfaction, a glimpse at the unknown and maybe a window into the bigger picture of self.
Seeking a place to be creative in is as much about the creative process as creating. The environment in which we find our self lends a certain patina to the experience. If a song can transform the mind to another place and space, imagine an imaginary world where the hopping off point is leading you in a direction that tends to blurb reality.
